Metalform is an established sheet metal fabrication and general engineering company. The company is engaged in the production of light gauged steel ducting systems, namely dust extraction systems and air-conditioning duct work. Metalform is dedicated to providing the highest quality workmanship, meeting agreed delivery dates and executing the custom work exactly in accordance with the customers requirements.
Metalform is located in Pietermaritzburg, Kwazulu-Natal, where we have claimed majority of the market share in the past 5 years. Metalform was started in 1983, by Mr. C. L Phillips. Upon his retirement, Alan and Greg Dreyer purchased the business in September of 2008. A partnership was set up with both parties holding 50% shares, and we have over 30 years experience in steel fabrication, and during the last 5 years we have developed a reputation of excellence and quality work.
Metalform was situated at 31 Portland Road, Mkondeni in Pietermaritzburg, where we operated out of a factory just under 300m² under roof, and we employed 5 employees that we took ver from the previous owner as there knowledge and skills were valuable to our operation.
In October 2012, we purchased bigger premises 2 new factories both being 700m² each, with about 2000m² of land. We currently have 11 permanent employees and 4 casual employees, who are on 3 month contracts of which if they prove themselves, will become permanent aswell.
Our main target customers include the food industry, saw milling and timber industry, Airconditioning industry, manufacturing and retail industry.
We are in an advanced stage of expanding our company into steel shelving and racking systems, of which Alan Dreyer has 40 years’ experience in this field.

Alan and Greg Dreyer purchased the company in September 2008. Alan Dreyer Purchased a cc company, called Ocean Echo Properties 348 cc, and that owns the land and building as well as the machinery.
Metalform is a partnership, with both parties holding 50% shares and both Alan and Greg are involved in the day to day running of the business.
